Havelock North
Named after a hero of the Indian Mutiny, Sir Henry Havelock, the Village has grown enormously since the first sections were auctioned in 1860 and is now a highly desirable residential area. The vibrant center combines the charm of a village with cosmopolitan flair and there are plenty of attractive places to sit and soak up the atmosphere and the sunny Mediterranean climate.Te Mata Peak
Visit Te Mata Peak, which towers 399m above sea level and gives
magnificent views across Hawke's Bay. You can also view paragliders
leaving from the top of the peak and gliding down to the Tuki Tuki
River which is a popular river for trout fishing.
Napier
With Napier, known as the Art Deco city, approximately a 15min drive away, you can explore the many beautiful art deco buildings or walk along the new coastal walkway and enjoy a dip in the Ocean Spa Open Air Hot Pools.Cape Kidnappers
Cape Kidnappers is famous for the rare gannet colony - the largest
and most accessible mainland gannet colony in the world - and also
for the new international golf course.
Hastings City
Hastings City is also only 5min drive away where you can visit Splash Planet Water Park with more than 15 rides and attractions for a whole day's fun or visit the Farmer's Market held every Sunday morning for great fresh local produce, and you can talk to the people who have grown or made their wares.Coastline
Hawke's Bay coastline caters for many water activities from fishing and diving to surfing and swimming. Havelock North has Ocean Beach and Waimarama approximately a 15-20min drive away for you to enjoy many of these activities, or simply lie on the sun-drenched sand and relax.
